Goodbye Kim!

It’s unbelievable how fast time flies! At the end of January Kim already had her last day here at AutoCom as her internship period came to an end. I’m glad that I could spend the last four months together with her at work and outside of the office as well. She was a great co-worker and always spread a good mood through the office with her smile :) I very much enjoyed our lunch breaks in which we typically ate pasta, rice or wraps together and reviewed the last weekend or talked about food, upcoming and past city trips or the time here in the U.S. in general. I will never forget how she talked to herself while working and how she put balsamic sauce on every lunch break dish she ate.

Also, after work and on the weekends we had a great time and did a lot of fun things together. No matter whether we cooked pasta with dinosaur nuggets, went shopping in the evening, listened and sang along to music during our drive to the office or went to a bar or restaurant in Royal Oak – we always laughed a lot :) And we even handled less pleasant situations like push-starting a stuck car in the middle of a snowy street or selecting a Halloween costume late in the evening at a very crowded Halloween store after we already spent over an hour in another store (thanks for the patience that evening Kim :D). All in all, we had a great time working together at AutoCom and living near each other in Royal Oak!

I and the whole AutoCom team wish you lots of fun as well as many new experiences during your study semester in Brazil. Thank you Kim for your time at AutoCom, we will miss you a lot!

We will see each other again when we’re both back in Germany later this year! ;)

About Cologne, Cars and Trees… - Update from the other Side of the Lake

Hi or as we would say in Franconia "Servus", a couple of months have passed since I started my internship at AutoCom and even though I cannot share something about the amazing sites within and around Detroit, I can still give you an update on what is happening.  Philipp has joined us two months ago and we two are currently working on the Social Media Appearance of AutoCom. Even as "digital nomads" we encounter challenges and still have a lot to learn. However, it is great just to create new things from scratch or nearly immediately see a result when sharing a story or creating a post.  But enough of work… About Cologne Larry and the others offered me to go to Cologne to attend a meeting with a client and I - of course - couldn't resist and decided to stay even a bit longer. It was a nice trip with splendid late summer weather and I was able to take a lot of images - at least until my battery died.  About cars Since some of my initial projects were crushed by th...

A New Year, a New Intern

Hi everybody, My name is Véronique and I am happy to say that I will be one of the new interns at AutoCom beginning on March 19. I am a 21 year old student from Germany. The internship is part of my International Business & Management degree that I am working on at the Hanze University in Groningen, Netherlands. I am currently in my third year at Hanze University and the previous semester I studied abroad at a partner university in Macau, China, where I took courses related to my marketing major. I am very excited to start my second stay abroad in a few weeks and I hope that I will gain a lot of professional experience and get to know the area of public relations while working at AutoCom. I also love traveling, so I hope I will be able to see as much of the U.S. as possible, especially since it is my first stay there. It has always been a dream of mine to visit the U.S. and now being able to learn the entire culture and industry by actually living there is a huge bonus. Right now I...

It feels good to be home!

After completing my third year at Northern Michigan University in the Upper Peninsula, it feels good to be back home and in the office again. Larry was very gracious in allowing me to come back to AutoCom. For those of you that do not know me, my name is Tedi Falvo. Last summer I did an internship with AutoCom, and learned a lot about public relations outside of the classroom. Books can only teach you so much- the real learning comes when you go out on your own and put everything you have learned to the test. Last summer was a great experience, and I was thankful to work with such a great staff that was willing to help me succeed. While I was in Marquette, Mich. continuing my studies in public relations, and sociology, I remained in contact with AutoCom. When I had a question regarding an aspect of my studies, I always knew where to turn! It is nice to have wonderful people surrounding and filling you with all of their knowledge. That is one aspect I love about working here-everyone wo...
