A Recap of SAE Week

 Last week was a very exciting week for us interns at AutoCom. On Tuesday two AutoCom events took place.   A client luncheon at Joes Muer’s Seafood and the SAE Annual Supplier dinner at Coach Insignia, which is one of AutoCom’s major events. Apart from meeting our clients, media attendees, networking and REALLY good food, these events marked our first milestones of our internship at a PR agency. For the first time we were actively involved in planning, organizing and participating in big events. We learned a lot about the importance of keeping calm even though things are going wrong, being well organized, teamwork and overall good communication. So long!

Today marks the last day of my internship with AutoCom. Looking back it is hard to believe that it has already been six months. Time flies when you are busy and I sure was. I learned so much and am very grateful for the experience. I really appreciated to have had the opportunity to talk to so many people who have been in the PR business for decades. It was very interesting to listen to their stories and I am thankful for the time they took to share those with me. Later today I will shut down my computer for the last time. For the last time I will turn off the lights, switch the phones to “night” and lock the door. I will for the last time walk down that staircase, get in my car and drive off. Let me tell you: No matter how often you have done this in your life, leaving never gets any easier. However, I am leaving with a suitcase full of great memories, a lot learned and sincere love of the people I met, and grew fond of during my stay. With that in mind I am not afraid of w
