Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Hi everybody!
Finally, we are back and we have a couple of good stories for you.
First of all, it snowed only once so far and we had a small ice storm, but on all other days the weather is just fine. However, when it started snowing, it was snowing the whole day and we had a power cut. But it turned out pretty romantic, with all the candles we were lighting up :)
Nashville
Atlanta
Furthermore I can proudly tell, we made it to Nashville and Atlanta. Especially, when we headed back, it took us forever. It was raining like crazy and due to a lot of accidents that happened, we barely moved forwards, so we arrived at 1am in the morning. But we had a great time! We went line dancing at the Wilde Horse Saloon; had some great burgers and we had a tour through Nashville learning about all the great Country singers and places they were performing at. Nashville and Atlanta are absolute gorgeous cities and we had a great time there.

A week ago we went to the ballet “The Nutcracker” and it was wonderful! The music was amazing and so was the dancing! It kind of got us in the Christmas mood, even when the weather didn’t. And of course Royal Oak started to look amazing in its Christmas dress. All the lights and Santa Clauses!
Of course I needed to bake some German Christmas cookies! It took me some time to find all the ingredients, but I made it and I found some cookie cutters in our counters. My Canadian roommate tried some and nearly ate the whole box. It is always the same; it takes forever to bake them, but eating them is done in minutes.
On the 25th my parents and my brother arrived, so I will spend a lot of time with sightseeing and shopping of course. I am really lucky to have them here, especially because they are cooking for me. You need to know, I am quite lazy and most of the time I eat noodles J
I am beginning to be sad, since there are only six weeks left till Sophia will leave. This is nearly nothing in intern time and I will miss her a lot! I think we are a pretty nice team.
Well, the New Year is coming up and with it a lot of new experiences and interns and I am curious about all the things that will happen!

Happy New Year to all of you!

About Cologne, Cars and Trees… - Update from the other Side of the Lake

Hi or as we would say in Franconia "Servus", a couple of months have passed since I started my internship at AutoCom and even though I cannot share something about the amazing sites within and around Detroit, I can still give you an update on what is happening.  Philipp has joined us two months ago and we two are currently working on the Social Media Appearance of AutoCom. Even as "digital nomads" we encounter challenges and still have a lot to learn. However, it is great just to create new things from scratch or nearly immediately see a result when sharing a story or creating a post.  But enough of work… About Cologne Larry and the others offered me to go to Cologne to attend a meeting with a client and I - of course - couldn't resist and decided to stay even a bit longer. It was a nice trip with splendid late summer weather and I was able to take a lot of images - at least until my battery died.  About cars Since some of my initial projects were crushed by th...

A New Year, a New Intern

Hi everybody, My name is Véronique and I am happy to say that I will be one of the new interns at AutoCom beginning on March 19. I am a 21 year old student from Germany. The internship is part of my International Business & Management degree that I am working on at the Hanze University in Groningen, Netherlands. I am currently in my third year at Hanze University and the previous semester I studied abroad at a partner university in Macau, China, where I took courses related to my marketing major. I am very excited to start my second stay abroad in a few weeks and I hope that I will gain a lot of professional experience and get to know the area of public relations while working at AutoCom. I also love traveling, so I hope I will be able to see as much of the U.S. as possible, especially since it is my first stay there. It has always been a dream of mine to visit the U.S. and now being able to learn the entire culture and industry by actually living there is a huge bonus. Right now I...

It feels good to be home!

After completing my third year at Northern Michigan University in the Upper Peninsula, it feels good to be back home and in the office again. Larry was very gracious in allowing me to come back to AutoCom. For those of you that do not know me, my name is Tedi Falvo. Last summer I did an internship with AutoCom, and learned a lot about public relations outside of the classroom. Books can only teach you so much- the real learning comes when you go out on your own and put everything you have learned to the test. Last summer was a great experience, and I was thankful to work with such a great staff that was willing to help me succeed. While I was in Marquette, Mich. continuing my studies in public relations, and sociology, I remained in contact with AutoCom. When I had a question regarding an aspect of my studies, I always knew where to turn! It is nice to have wonderful people surrounding and filling you with all of their knowledge. That is one aspect I love about working here-everyone wo...
