there are news again about my life in Germany:

I finally graduated from University and so I am enjoying hanging around doing nothing. :-)

So I already told you that I am an aunt now. My little nephew is getting huge and starts laughing and making funny noises. I am trying hard to understand what he wants to tell me. :)

Two weeks ago I came back from a great vacation with a friend of mine. We went to the Greek Island Crete and were had a lot of fun at the beach. The weather was great, the hotel awesome and the time was going by too fast. One day we rent a car (a little Fiat, which was really funny) and made a trip to the next city. Chania is a really nice city with a beautiful harbour (just see the pictures).

But the biggest news is that I will move to Munich next week. I tried to get a visa to come back, but that won’t work so I had to look for something in Germany. I found a great internship within a marketing consulting agency in Munich and I will start first of October. I am really looking forward to that and hope I will learn a lot of more new stuff.

That’s Munich, my new home:

It was an exhausting and depressing experience to find an apartment in that city. Munich is the most expensive city in Germany which made it really hard. They show you an apartment with about 301 square feet, which is dirty and ugly and want to charge about 500 Euros (=700$) for that. But finally I have found a pretty small apartment in a small city about 20 minutes out of the city. So now I am really happy and will move there next week.

You know, Munich is popular for the “Oktoberfest” which will start this weekend. So I will go there and will have one of those huge beers. I bet I will see a lot of funny people like those on the picture below. :) There is a sip for each one of you guys. So with every sip I will think about someone else and send a “Cheers” across the ocean. I also have already learned the Bavarian slang a little bit. (“Grüß Gott” in the heading means “hello” but in a really formal way. And the Bavarians use that a lot :-)).

If you ever come to Munich just let me know, so we can meet each other and I can show you Munich (and maybe the famous Oktoberfest).

That’s about the news out of my life. I will try to call the office before I move to Munich and talk to you guys. Maggie, Jen, Mamma D we really need to talk I miss you so much!

So now I say “Servus” (that’s what you say in Bavaria when you want to say good bye) to everybody.
