So long!

Today marks the last day of my internship with AutoCom. Looking back it is hard to believe that it has already been six months. Time flies when you are busy and I sure was. I learned so much and am very grateful for the experience. I really appreciated to have had the opportunity to talk to so many people who have been in the PR business for decades. It was very interesting to listen to their stories and I am thankful for the time they took to share those with me.

Later today I will shut down my computer for the last time. For the last time I will turn off the lights, switch the phones to “night” and lock the door. I will for the last time walk down that staircase, get in my car and drive off. Let me tell you: No matter how often you have done this in your life, leaving never gets any easier.

However, I am leaving with a suitcase full of great memories, a lot learned and sincere love of the people I met, and grew fond of during my stay. With that in mind I am not afraid of whatever is awaiting me in the future because I know I can count on my experience and some amazing people.

My mountain is waiting. I am on my way.

About Cologne, Cars and Trees… - Update from the other Side of the Lake

 Hi or as we would say in Franconia "Servus", a couple of months have passed since I started my internship at AutoCom and even though I cannot share something about the amazing sites within and around Detroit, I can still give you an update on what is happening.  Philipp has joined us two months ago and we two are currently working on the Social Media Appearance of AutoCom. Even as "digital nomads" we encounter challenges and still have a lot to learn. I won’t be an intern anymore. :)

Hi everybody! There is news again from my life. You know, I am a person who never stops doing something. Either I travel almost every weekend (like I did in the States) or I am looking for new challenges all the time. :-) Well, my internship in Munich as a marketing consulting intern is not too bad, but I have finished University…so what I want is a real job and not an internship. (The only internship I would love to do, even after I graduated, is the one I already did with AutoCom). :) So I continued applying for jobs. I restricted the area to Bavaria for the first applications, because I love that part of Germany. I love the Bavarian dialect (it is so cute and sexy the same time). I love their “Brezn” and their white sausages. And here is the news: I will start on the 26th of November as an employee at Novartis. Novartis is a huge German pharmaceutical company. I will work there for the strategic sourcing marketing. So I will be the one choosing agencies, advertising materials and so...

Hi everyone, My name is Sarah Heuser. I’m 23 years old and from a small town near Cologne, Germany. I just finished my master’s in Journalism and Corporate Communications at the University of Applied Sciences in Wuerzburg. Even though I have a bachelor’s degree in Media and American Studies, I have never been to the US before. That’s why I really wanted to do an internship here so I could see what life and work is like. Rebecca and Julian, the other AutoCom interns, picked me up from the airport last Saturday and my new roommates and some of their friends were already waiting for me. We are all living in Royal Oak, but I’m in a different house than the other AutoCom interns. They are currently taking me to work as I am still figuring out details regarding my car.
