Visiting Point Pelee, the most southern part of Canada

Located 30 miles (50 km) south-east of Windsor, Ontario, Point Pelee National Park of Canada is one of Canada's smallest national parks and is known for its  mild climate due to its geographic location, which is comparable to Rome and Barcelona.
“Warm and sunny weather” that sounds nice, especially in Michigan during the winter period but…
About 17 ÂşF (we are talking about not quite less than -8 ÂşC) and a “refreshing” wind at least made us feel like we were in Canada :D
Anyways, we did not freeze to death and it was definitely worth it!
The marsh boardwalk and the tip, the most southern point of Canada, were awesome and we took a lot of wonderful pictures of the ice crystals, the shafts of sunlight breaking through the clouds, as well as the rough but still calming beach.

Have you ever been to Point Pelee? Maybe in the summer time? What were your experiences?
We would be glad to hear how Point Pelee appears during other seasons!

Good place for bird watching in spring and summer. Birds know to go further south in winter!

About Cologne, Cars and Trees… - Update from the other Side of the Lake

Hi or as we would say in Franconia "Servus", a couple of months have passed since I started my internship at AutoCom and even though I cannot share something about the amazing sites within and around Detroit, I can still give you an update on what is happening.  Philipp has joined us two months ago and we two are currently working on the Social Media Appearance of AutoCom. Even as "digital nomads" we encounter challenges and still have a lot to learn. However, it is great just to create new things from scratch or nearly immediately see a result when sharing a story or creating a post.  But enough of work… About Cologne Larry and the others offered me to go to Cologne to attend a meeting with a client and I - of course - couldn't resist and decided to stay even a bit longer. It was a nice trip with splendid late summer weather and I was able to take a lot of images - at least until my battery died.  About cars Since some of my initial projects were crushed by th...

Jack inducted into PRSA Detroit Chapter Hall of Fame!

Hi everyone! Last night we went to the PRSA Detroit Chapter’s annual meeting. During the meeting was a ceremony for Jack Harned’s induction into the Hall of Fame. The meeting was downtown at the beautiful DTE Energy building. We had a great time networking with fellow colleagues in the PR industry and catching up with previous AutoCom employees. After dinner, Marty gave a great introduction to Jack. Jack’s speech was absolutely wonderful! Every one loved it! He talked about some of his past experiences from his hometown newspaper to working with GM and NASA. It seemed that everyone loved hearing his stories as much as we do at our Friday lunches! It’s great to know that Jack’s peers recognize all of his hard work. He has accomplished and seen so much, he truly deserves this award. From all of us at AutoCom: Congrats, Jack! We are all so proud of you! Leave some comments for Jack and keep an eye out for pictures, coming soon, at AutoCom's Facebook page! Until next time, Julia, Kerry...

Hey AutoComers, First of all I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a wonderful time with your family and friends! How have you all been? I moved back to Cambridge this fall to continue my last year of studies. I was really really happy to be a student again after working for a year, especially after my pretty stressful internship at BMW…. And now I want to work again J never right the way it is… Life in Cambridge is fun. I live with 4 roommates and we share a flat very close to the city center and University. So this year we can actually walk places and didn’t have to buy bikes again… (yea mine was unfortunately gone after a year and a half left in the city center all by itself chained to a post) There has not much been going on lately, I have only been writing assignments for the last 8 weeks, my final year is very busy. Between my second internship and University, I got a job at Continental as a working student for a month in the sales department for Motorcycle ABS. It was good e...
