We live so close to Canada! So why not just go there for a weekend trip? Thinking about that, we decided to spend a few days in Toronto. Friday right after work we packed-up our stuff, got in the car and took the four hour ride to Canada. We drove through Southern Ontario until we reached Toronto, a city with a population of around 2.6 million inhabitants making it the largest in Canada. Arriving late Friday night, there was only time left to get dinner right across from the super comfortable and pretty cheap hotel where we stayed in Downtown Toronto. Saturday morning a snowy but wonderful day gave us the opportunity of getting to know the city. That of course included touristy attractions such as drinking a coffee on top of the CN Tower, eating poutine- a typical Canadian dish made out of french fries, cheese curds and brown gravy at the farmers market and just looking around at the wonderful buildings in the city.
