Hi everybody,
Around Christmas I had an awesome road trip. We started in Detroit of course and headed to Chicago. In wintertime Chicago is very cold and nothing looks as it used to look in summer. Building turn grey, the streets look dirty, even the skyscrapers appear as regular height buildings under the fog. Millennium Park was as pretty as it always was. We spend three nights at the “Days Inn Chicago” and loved the place, especially our room and the very good breakfast which was included. We also went to the first deep dish pizza restaurant named “Uno,” it was delicious.
Our next destination was Detroit Lakes in Minnesota. I spent a year as an exchange student at this beautiful place in 2002/2003 and really enjoyed my stay. We spend the nights at my host parents’ house and got to see some of my former good friends. One day we went snowmobiling and we had a blast.
The next part of our journey brought us to Duluth and through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We enjoyed the scenery a lot. All in all, the entire trip took us ten days and we had lots of fun. For New Years Eve, I met my friends back in Detroit and we had a wonderful time going out for dinner and partying at a place close to Northville.
My time at AutoCom is almost over and I still hope to travel to New York and Niagara Falls. I hope all of you had a good start this year and you will enjoy 2009.
